David L. Andre - President & CEO

An experienced entrepreneur and executive with more than twenty years’ experience building and growing successful Internet and technology businesses, David Andre co-founded Mall Networks in 2005. A recognized expert in Internet search and e-commerce, David was founding CTO of Upromise, the largest and most successful coalition loyalty program in the United States. At Upromise, David was responsible for one of the company’s most critical business processes – the development and evolution of Upromise’s technology platform. At Upromise, David also managed ongoing business, technology and partner operations. He developed and implemented the business model for Upromise Online Shopping, one of the Internet’s most successful online e-commerce sites.

Prior to Upromise, David served as VP of Engineering at Lycos (acquired by Terra Networks SA) and Direct Hit (acquired by Ask Jeeves). Prior to this, David held senior technology roles at Rational Software (acquired by IBM), Object Design (acquired by Progress Software) and Symbolics. He also served four years in the U.S. Air Force at National Security Agency.

David holds a M.S.C.S. from the University of Maryland and a B.S.E.E. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Ben Kaplan - Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Ben is responsible for client services, product development, marketing, merchant relations and business development at Mall Networks. Prior to assuming the role of COO, Ben served as Chief Marketing Officer at Mall Networks.

Ben brings 15 years of marketing, product management and business development experience in a wide range of high tech markets including e-Commerce, CRM, Social Networking, Search, Content Management, Business Intelligence and Analytics.

Before Mall Networks, Ben was Vice President of Marketing at KNOVA Software, a leading provider of customer service, self-service and intelligent search applications. At KNOVA, Ben helped grow the company from 5 to 200 customers and established the product suite as an award-winning market leader prior to the company's acquisition by Battery Ventures and Consona in December 2006.

Earlier in his career, Ben held executive and management positions at North Systems, Broadbase/KANA and Commerce One.

Ben holds a BA from Harvard College.

Ron Barale - VP of Engineering

As Vice President of Engineering, Ron Barale is responsible for all software engineering activities at Mall Networks. Ron brings more than 25 years of experience leading product development and services organizations in the CRM, ecommerce, business intelligence, and enterprise search industries.

Ron was most recently the Vice President of Product Development at Inquira, where he led engineering for their suite of search, knowledge management and web self-service products. He was formerly the senior vice president of product development for Epiphany, where he was responsible for developing the company’s innovative suite of CRM products, including marketing automation, predictive analytics and CRM. Ron also held other key executive roles at Epiphany, including serving as Epiphany’s senior vice president of customer management and education, where he was responsible for the worldwide operations of Epiphany’s Customer Management & Education organization.

Prior to Epiphany, Ron was Vice President of product engineering and support at Red Brick Systems, a database and data warehouse technology developer acquired by IBM. At Red Brick, he ran worldwide operations of the development organization, customer support, and corporate MIS functions. Ron has also held engineering management positions at Blue Roads Corp., a SaaS-based channel management platform, Compuware, and COMAC.

Marc Caltabiano - VP of Marketing

As Vice President of Marketing, Marc Caltabiano is responsible for product strategy, product management, product marketing, marketing communications, and public relations. Marc brings more than 15 years of product management and product marketing experience in the CRM, self-service, ecommerce, and enterprise search industries. He holds nine patents on search and knowledge management.

Prior to Mall Networks, Marc was the senior director of product management at KNOVA Software, guiding the company's product and positioning strategy, product roadmap, and product and release management. In this role, he was responsible for award-winning and market-changing products and solutions that helped grow the company's revenue by more than 400 percent.

Before KNOVA, Marc served as senior product manager at Siebel Systems for the Call Center and eService products and was a key part of the team that vaulted Siebel's Call Center and eService products into a market leadership position.

Marc started his career with Disco Corporation, a leading Japanese semiconductor equipment manufacturer, based in Tokyo.

Marc has a B.A. from Williams College and an MBA from the Haas School at the University of California at Berkeley.

Ann Calvit - VP of Technical Services

Ann Calvit brings nearly two decades of experience in product, partnership and strategic account management in the e-commerce, loyalty marketing, financial services and advanced supercomputing sectors to Mall Networks.

Ann is responsible for technical services and operations for all of Mall Networks' clients. In this role, she manages programs spanning numerous organizational disciplines, including product delivery, infrastructure testing and compliance and quality control and assurance. Ann most recently served as VP of Technology Integrations for Sports Loyalty Systems (SLS), an operator and marketer of loyalty programs for professional sports leagues and their franchises. There, she managed technical partner relationships of both outsourcers and contributing partners, including Chase and FMI/ADS.

Prior to SLS, Ann spent nearly three years at Upromise as VP of Technology Integrations where she was responsible for quantifying business needs and establishing the ROI for multiple value-add package evaluations. Earlier in her career, Ann held senior technical positions at Open Market, Kendall Square Research and mValent.

Ann holds a B.S. in Computer Science from American University of Paris.

Kristyn Golier - VP of Merchant Development

Kristyn Golier brings nearly a decade of affiliate marketing experience to Mall Networks and its clients. During her career, Kristyn has forged successful loyalty rewards programs with several of the world’s top consumer brands and online retailers.

Prior to joining Mall Networks, Kristyn was the Director of Online Shopping at Upromise, the largest coalition loyalty program in the U.S. During her tenure at Upromise, Kristyn managed the company’s online mall and helped to increase the mall’s revenues by more than 400 percent. She also helped to more than double the number of merchants participating in the Online Shopping program. Kristyn strengthened relationships with many of Upromise’s key online merchants, including JCPenney.com, Lands’ End, Sears.com, Target.com and Walmart.com by developing new revenue generating programs for these merchants that helped significantly increase web site traffic and transaction volumes. As a result, Online Shopping became one the largest and fastest revenue generators for Upromise.

Prior to Upromise, Kristyn was responsible for e-commerce at Schoolpop. Kristyn significantly enhanced and expanded Schoolpop’s online merchant partnerships through direct mail and other innovative consumer marketing programs.

Ping Lay - Chief Architect

Ping Lay has more than twenty years’ experience in managing and developing software systems, including personalization, e-commerce and automated testing.

Prior to co-founding Mall Networks, Ping was an independent computer consultant working for the federal government (DOT). Previously, Ping was Engineering Manager at Lycos, where he architected and directed development of the “My Lycos” personalized portal, as well as vertical web sites such as Lycos Finance and Lycos News. Prior to joining Lycos, Ping was a Senior Software Engineer at Rational Software. At Rational, Ping was responsible for the client-server load testing products line.

Ping received his M.B.A and B.S. in Computer Engineering from Boston University.

John Mangan - VP of Financial Markets

As vice president of financial markets, John oversees the development of new business with top financial services firms, including consumer credit card, banking, and insurance organizations. He has more than 20 years of experience in building and negotiating affinity partnerships and loyalty marketing programs.

Previous to joining Mall Networks, John was VP of new business development at The Kessler Group, where he developed partnership solutions for clients and prospects in the financial services arena, focusing on leveraging affinity partner assets to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. He also developed co-marketing agreements between Kessler clients and various marketing solutions companies to improve acquisition and loyalty marketing results. Prior to The Kessler Group, Mangan spent 17 years at MBNA America most recently as marketing director for product development. In this capacity, he developed and implemented new products and credit card loyalty programs for large affinity groups. Also at MBNA, Mangan had extensive experience partnering with Visa, MasterCard, and American Express to maximize cardholder value propositions and customer loyalty.

Mangan holds a bachelor of science in marketing and finance from University of Delaware. He has served on various committees for the Ronald McDonald House.

Kimathi Marangu - EVP of Business Development

Kimathi Marangu is a recognized expert in loyalty marketing, affiliate marketing and e-commerce. Kimathi has been a contributor to Colloquy, DMNews and MarketingProfs, interviewed by Fox Business News, and quoted in USA Today, BusinessWeek.com, New York Newsday, Red Herring and others.

Prior to co-founding Mall Networks, he ran a consulting business, Seaspray, whose clients include Apple and Teleflora. Kimathi grew Apple's affiliate program into one of the largest in the industry. He also established Apple's U.S. search and comparison shopping partnerships with Google, Yahoo! Shopping, Shopzilla, Overture, Shopping.com and PriceGrabber.

Previously, Kimathi was GM of eCommerce at Schoolpop, an online school fundraising company. There he refined the business model that delivered over $250 million in trackable, multi-channel sales to merchants, raising millions of dollars for schools. He began his career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan in New York and Australia. A wildlife conservationist, he has served as Special Assistant to Dr. Richard Leakey at the Kenya Wildlife Service.

Kimathi has his A.B. in Economics from Vassar College and his M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he is past President of the Stanford Business School Alumni Association and Emeritus Member of the Business School Advisory Council.

Mike Morin - SVP of Sales

As Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Mike Morin brings more than 25 years of experience to Mall Networks. As SVP of Worldwide Sales, Mike is responsible for the company's direct, channel, and inside sales groups, as well as sales operations.

Prior to Mall Networks, Mike was SVP of Sales at CXO Systems, a VC backed application software development company focused on operational performance, enterprise risk and regulatory compliance. There he managed the direct, indirect, partner and inside sales teams and was responsible for driving new business growth in the Fortune 1000.

Previously, Mike served as Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales & Marketing at Demantra, a supplier of Demand Planning and Trade Promotion Management Software. In addition to his sales responsibilities, Mike created the Demantra Center of Excellence, and managed the Marketing group that was responsible for product positioning, and demand generation activities.

Mike has served as a key member of several executive teams and was instrumental in driving early stage company growth through successful IPOs for i2 Technologies and i-Cube/Razorfish. Mike holds an MBA and BS degree from the University of Massachusetts.

Erin Raese - VP of In-Store Programs

Erin Raese is a veteran of in-store loyalty programs with more than 18 years experience in loyalty marketing and in-store programs. Most recently, she was Vice President of Marketing Services at SHCDirect where she was responsible for the company’s merchant partnership sales, communications and rewards strategy. At SHCDirect, Raese developed a partnership sales department, creating – and maintaining -- over 650 relationships with top retailers, restaurants, and service providers. Raese’s marketing experience began at Hyatt Corporation, where she managed the Hyatt Resorts loyalty marketing efforts. After Hyatt, Erin held a number of key marketing management positions, where she was responsible for design and development of rewards based loyalty programs.

Erin holds a degree in Marketing from North Central College, Naperville, Ill.

Dennis Tze - VP of Client Services

As VP of Client Services, Dennis is responsible for managing and growing Mall Networks client programs to achieve client satisfaction and revenue goals. Those activities include strategic engagement planning, program execution, consumer marketing and account management.

Dennis brings more than 15 years of experience in loyalty programs, consumer marketing, merchant relations and strategic consulting to Mall Networks. Before Mall Networks, Dennis spent 10 years at American Express, most recently as Vice President of the OPEN Savings® program, a built-in loyalty program that generated over $150MM in savings for all OPEN cardmembers and included 20 industry leading small business focused companies such as FedEx, Delta Airlines, Hertz and Courtyard Marriott.

During his tenure at American Express, Dennis worked in several business groups (Merchant Services, Consumer Card, OPEN for Small Business) in a diverse set of roles (Partnerships, Marketing, Acquisitions, Business Development, Reengineering). Before American Express, Dennis worked for an international management consulting firm and for a pharmaceutical company.

He originally hails from Canada where he received an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at University of Western Ontario and completed his undergraduate work at McGill University.
